نحوه محاسبه توان UPS
قبل از اقدام به خرید یک دستگاه یو پی اس، در قدم اول باید با توجه به نیاز خود شروع به محاسبه میزان توان مصرفی تجهیزات محیط کاری خود کرد. برای مثال، شرکت شما دارای 8 عدد سیستم کامپیوتری است و توان هر دستگاه حدود 200 وات است که مجموع توان آن ها به 1600 وات می رسد. در زمان خرید باید UPS را انتخاب کرده که توان آن تقریبا 30 درصد بالاتر از مجموع توان سیستم های کامپیوتری باشد که با توجه به مثال زده شده، باید یو پی اسی با توان حدود 2080 وات تهیه کرد. لازم به ذکر است که توان یو پی اس بر حسب KVA اعلام می شود و برای مثال بالا، دیوایسی با توان 3KVA مناسب است.
بازدهی دستگاه های UPS به طور معمول بالا 95 درصد است و با توجه به میزان توان مصرفی و باتری آن، توانایی برق رسانی تا مدت زمان مشخصی که در فرمول زیر آورده شده ارائه دهد.
برای بهتر متوجه شدن نحوه محاسبه، مثال دیگری می زنیم:
یک یو پی اس مجهز به 4 باتری 12 ولت-65 آمپر ساعت می تواند یک سیستم کامپیوتری با توان 250 واتی را مدت 9.5 ساعت روشن نگه دارد.
در انتها قابل ذکر است که در زمان خرید دیوایس UPS ، باید به این نکته توجه کرد که همواره توان یوپی اس بالاتر از توان مجموع دیوایس های موجود در محیط کاری باشد تا با مشکلی مواجه نشوید.
