گوشی M31s از قابلیت های ویژه ای مانند نمایشگر 6.5 اینچی Super AMOLED با کیفیت وضوح Full HD پلاس بهره می برد. نوع نمایشگر این گوشی میان رده از نوع Infinity-O است که روزنه O شکل آن میزبان دوربین سلفی 32 مگاپیکسلی خواهد بود. گوشی سامسونگ M31s از یک باتری بسیار بزرگ 6000 میلی آمپر ساعت بهره می برد که از قابلیت پشتیبانی از فناوری شارژ سریع 25 واتی را دارا است.

گوشی سامسونگ M31s به تراشه 10 نانومتری Exynos 9611 برای پردازش اطلاعات مجهز شده است. این تراشه از پردازنده هشت هسته ای با حداکثر فرکانس 2.31 گیگاهرتز بهره می برد. همچنین از رم 6/8 گیگابایتی و حافظه داخلی 128 گیگابایتی پشتیبانی می کند. همچنین این گوشی میان رده به لطف حضور درگاه کارت حافظه خارجی، قابلیت افزایش فضای ذخیره سازی اطلاعات را دارد.
