DAS چیست؟
DAS مخفف کلمه Direct Attached storage می باشد، این ذخیره ساز دیجیتالی مستقیما به استوریج کنترلر سرور و یا رایانه وصل می شود. در واقع این بدیم معنی است که کنترل سخت افزاری آن مربوط به شبکه ذخیره سازی نمی شود و جزو وظایف سرور محسوب می شود .
DAS زمانی به کارتان می آید که حجم اطلاعات قابل ذخیره از شیار های هارد روی سرور بیشتر باشد. یک از شناس ترین نمونه های این storage هارد درایو های پی سی و لپ تاپ می باشد. این دستگاه ذخیره ساز هم می تواند یک هارد داشته باشد و هم شامل تعدادی از هارد ها باشد همچنین هم می توان آنها را داخل سرور قرار داد و هم بیرون آن. سیستم های چندگانه به طوری که هر کدام جدا گانه به DAS وصل باشند می توانند از یک ذخیره ساز مشترکا استفاده کنند.
بررسی خصوصیات و ویژگی ها
یکی از مزیت های بزرگ این مدل Storage ساده بودن و هزینه کم آن است. همانطور که اطلاع دارید نصب کردن NAS و SAN پییچدگی و برنامه ریزی زیادی لازم دارد. همچنین DAS مانند این دستگاه ها احتیاجی به اپلیکیشن های مانیتورینگ و مدیریتی ندارد و در اغلب پی سی ها و بعضی سرور ها قابل نصب و راه اندازی می باشد. برای افزودن تعداد این ذخیره ساز تنها کافیست یک کابل و یک دستگاه DAS بخرید. این موارد خود مزیت هستند و این دستگاه ذخیره ساز را مناسب برای مصارف کمپانی های کوچک و البته شعبه های کمپانی های بزرگ می باشد.
دستگاه storage DAS برای هر برنامه ای مناسب است و می تواند اکسترنال و یا اینترنال باشد. حافظه ذخیره سازی DAS شامل هاردهای HDD و SSD میشود. هاردهای اچ دی دی قیمت و سرعت کمتری دارند و اس دی دی ها کارایی و قیمت بیشتری دارند هرچند اخیرا کمی ارزان شده اند همچنین به علت نبود دیسک گردان در آن ها، طول عمر بیشتر دارند. البته یک مورد دیگر که می توان آن را یکی از معایب این ذخیره ساز دانست پراکندگی استوریج است که موجب بالا رفتن قیمت آن می شود.
دو مورد از معایب دیگر که لازم است بدان اشاره کرد، دسترس پذیری آن است که باید با کابل به شبکه وصل شود و محدودیت فاصله ای دارد و دوم کارایی آن است که که به ترافیک شبکه بستگی دارد چون داده ها در شبکه به اشتراک گذاشته می شوند.
در رابطه با HDD ها نکته قابل ذکر این است که، با وجود Lockable Bezel این هارد ها از سرقت و تغییر مکان ناخواسته جلوگیری می شود.
